Life in Moscow

  • firstly let me talk about Moscow Metro

  • its the most cheapest mode of transportation. u can ride it for 19 ruble (divide 7 for RM) to anywhere in the line
  • its easy to buy the tickets as u have 1,2,5,10 train journeys..but make sure u can understand the signboard which sorry to say are all in Russian but now worries because The Russian Authorities had just installed the english version in the map…
  • The trains are moving very fast and very noisy..every 40-50 seconds i can say or less…so make sure u know where are u going…
  • Plus the stations underground are very beautiful..where u can see beautiful architecture during right before the first world war till the new millennium…its like a city of itself…
  • FOOD…
  • Halal food are hard to find here as u may have guest but don’t be scared because they are almost 20 million muslim in Russia…pretty much as The People of Malaysia..
  • Halal chicken are easy to find as long as u read DUEX or DUX..that is a halal chicken…but fish here are very expensive…because as u know it Moscow are very far from the sea…
  • For you guys who eat Rice..am very sorry to say that rice are just as expensive as buying yourself 3 meals per day back in Malaysia..as it would cost you a set back of 35 rubles per kg!
  • Another thing here is its very easy to find bread…But make sure its with cheese..thats the Best thing to make sure its halal…
  • DRINKS
  • What more would you expect when yo are living in the world most expensive city…for 3 years in a row now!..things here are very expensive i can say..drinks will cost you
  • 35 rubles for coke or something like mineral water…but if u are a smoker you’ll be happy to know dat cigarette are very cheap here..where u can get it for only! 19 rubles for a pack of 20..cigarettes is like bubblegum…you want not to be surprise to see an old lady asking you for a cigarette..anyway its a normal thing here to ask somebody for a cigarette or lighter…so don’t be surprise..as i discover only 2 weeks ago there are women’s cigarettes which are much smaller and thinner in size..plus the packaging are very unique..special for the ladies…with all the bright colours and the special taste i believe…
  • TO SURVIVE
  • First things first make sure u know how to speak in Russian language..a lit bit would do..just for you to survive in Moscow, Russian particularly…because it helps you with finding direction and buying things here…
  • MONEY
  • if you are from europe make sure to bring extra money with you whevever you go…anything can go wrong who knows..keep your money save close to your body as people here are known i mean kids to pickpoket you…
  • for asians..things here are very expensive..except for people in Tokyo or Seoul..i think they pretty much get the idea how to survive here in such a big city of 10 million and counting…
  • All in all i love living in a country studying their culture and evrything there is need to know ’boutthem..
